With Brexit still very fresh in our memories, new changes are coming up. On July 1, 2021 the EU is going to change the e-commerce legislation for VAT. A new set of rules will enter into force. Make sure that you are prepared!
On January 1, 2021 the e-commerce legislation already changed for Great Britain. Complying with these new rules is important, however be aware that these new rules also create opportunities!
On April 20, 2021 Baker Tilly organized an online event in which experts in the field of VAT and e-commerce discussed the upcoming changes in the EU, but also discussed the new rules for e-commerce already implemented in Great Britain as of January 1, 2021. Aside from this the current e-commerce rules in Australia and the upcoming trade deal between Australia and the EU / UK was discussed.
