Our board
Baker Tilly’s board is responsible for ensuring that we have ethical and properly managed professional practices. The board promotes a quality-oriented corporate culture in which the social importance of sound auditing practices is paramount. Our board consists of three members: a CEO and two board members, each appointed for a period of three years.
Ronald Hoeksel - CEO
Ronald Hoeksel started at Baker Tilly in 2007, as the RA partner for the Zwolle branch. More than 13 years later in 2021, he was appointed Chair of the Board. In this role, Ronald is responsible for Baker Tilly’s growth ambitions, looking ahead to 2027. The aim is to have doubled Baker Tilly’s turnover by then, and to occupy a solid position when it comes to supporting SME+ companies and non-profit organisations, both within the Netherlands and abroad.
Ronald lives in Zwolle and can frequently be found on his racing bike. His motto is: ‘stagnation means decline’.
Erik Moens - board member
Erik Moens started his career with one of the Big Four companies. He enjoys combining his Public Sector expertise with working for national and international large SMEs. Erik joined Baker Tilly in 2008, and was appointed as a board member on 1 July 2019. As a quality controller, he is responsible for ensuring the quality of the services we provide to our clients. He is also a member of the International Board of Directors for Baker Tilly International.
Erik is just as active in his leisure time, with his personal trainer encouraging him to consistently push his boundaries. He combines his love of cooking and good food with his ambition to cycle more.
Carin Welters - board member
Carin Welters has been part of the Baker Tilly team since 2001, making her a true Baker Tilly professional at heart. She initially started as an employment law specialist and became Partner Employment Advisory in 2016. As a board member, she is responsible for the Advisory service line, Marketing & Communications, and Human Resources.
One of her key challenges is to position Baker Tilly as an Employer of Choice, fostering an environment where talent can thrive, with ambition, growth, and collaboration at the core. Carin has a deep passion for disability care, to which she dedicates her time and energy outside of work.
